What can an AAT(SA) membership do for you?
We offer you the opportunity to belong to a professional accountancy body that recognises your achievements and offers you a range of benefits.
AAT(SA) membership offers professional status to reflect the skills you have gained and guarantees your commitment to maintaining and developing your competence.

We have introduced a unique membership system, comprising of five levels.
You can progress through the membership levels when you further your qualification or work experience.
Our levels are:
| Colour | Description |
|---|---|
| Red | This level is for all trainees who are yet to complete a level. |
| Silver | This level is for those who have completed the Certificate level of the AAT(SA) Accounting Qualification (Local Government or Diploma stream or Foundation level of the GAP/NVQ programme) or gained similar qualifications and work experience. |
| Gold | This level is for those who have completed the Advanced Certificate level of the AAT(SA) Accounting Qualification (or Intermediate level of the GAP/NVQ programme) or gained similar qualifications and work experience. |
| Platinum | This level is for those who have completed the Diploma level of the AAT(SA) Accounting Qualification (or Technician level of the GAP/NVQ programme) and have successfully been elected as a Full Member of AAT(SA), MAAT(SA). |
| Diamond | This level is for those who have been elected as a Fellow Member of AAT(SA), FMAAT(SA). |
